Even for those that have been on holiday to a Safari location before will be interested to know where the best resorts are. Well Africa has always been the best place in the world where you can go on safari, so here are some of the best resorts.
In Kenya there is the Porini Wilderness Safari. Well this place is not just a little safari resort, it is one big holiday bundle. There are actually three economically friendly bush camps that you will be staying in while on your safari quest. All of these camps have been built to have as little effect on the environment as possible. The guides are world renowned for being experienced and great tours; they are all accompanied with a 4X4 wheel Jeep.
This one is for those that want to see some of the most dangerous animals in the world. This is called the Maasai Mara Big Cat Safari, set in Kenya this is the place to come and see the Big Five. If you are fanatical about seeing a Lion, then this is a great location for you, this is where you are most likely to see one. They also take you around in open sided 4X4 jeeps, but they do through in an added bonus by taking you on a night Safari! Kenya Safari holidays have become th most popular in the world.
Next is a truly majestic safari, the Zambia Classic Safari. What’s also great here is that this safari crosses through several parks two of which are the Zambezi and Livingstone Park. This safari is even better for tourists because there is so much to see. The first being the royal creature the elephant, some people have argued this is the most commonly known animal across the world after cats and dogs. This is one of the most amazing features on the entire planet, the Victoria Falls, known as one of the Seven Wonders, this simply looks like a waterfall that disappears into the land. Diving holidays have been very popular here for the falls have a hidden secret called the Devil’s Armchair.
I had been looking forward to my honeymoon for years, I have been with my partner since a young age, we were kind of childhood sweet hearts. We had planned our wedding for a whole two years before it took place and I can assure you that it was probably one of the best nights of my entire life.
But my story at the moment is not about the wedding it is more about our honeymoons and the friendly monkey that became a major part of our lives and the reason I am writing this article is because it actually made me want to have kids.
The adventure started when our parents decided to book us a honeymoon as a wedding gift, we were all set to go on a wonderful safari. After arriving at the destination, we were then taken on a long coach journey, as soon as we got to the cabin we went to sleep as we were exhausted. The next day came around at the speed of light, we set out on Safari and I was blown away by the sheer amount of animals we were coming across.
We were on our way back when we noticed from a distance that the front door of the cabin way slightly open, I was pretty shaky because I though all our passports would have been taken, but to my suprise it was just a little monkey eating our fruit, when he saw me he did not run he just walked away. We spent the rest of the night with the cute monkey and it felt as though we had our own little family. He decided to tag along with us on the Safari treks and outings. It was an amazing week we spent with him, but all good things have to come to an end, so we said our goodbyes and never saw him again. Mind you I do have five kids of my own now who are all little monkeys in their own ways.
For great Caribbean Holidays and Jamaica Holidays
The title is not at all meant to be misleading; this is a true event of what happened to me whilst I was on safari. It all started around Christmas time 2007 I decided to actually go on a proper holiday something that would give me a lot more satisfaction then just sitting in the sun, drinking and going for a dip.
So I decided to look through a brochure and I came across some amazing safari holidays. They were a bit out of my price range as I only worked part time, but I had to go this was a once in a lifetime event that I was not going to miss for the world. So I saved up my money and paid off for this adventure.
The months leading up to summer flew by and I was soon on my way to my Kenya holidays. When I touched down a small group of us got taken in a coach and make are way to the wilderness. The evening was getting dark, so we decided to camp down. The next morning came by pretty quick and we went on an super tour, I literally got to see some superb animals, it was totally mind blowing.
Night struck again, we were all tired so decided to hit the sack. I was fast snoozing and we all got woken up by a loud trumpet. We unzipped the tent and there was about two gigantic elephants heading straight for us. Everyone got scared I had to take a stand I promptly got them all out of the tents and we headed straight for high lands. It was like something out of Jurassic Park. I protected them all and led them to safety. If you are looking for an adventure than go on a safari holiday I sure will be again soon.
Lions rarely attack humans. Most recorded instances have been a result of aggravation, territory protection or severe hunger. Attacks do happen however, and those who are unprepared rarely come off well. This guide documents the best practices to avoid lion attack and have incident free safaris
Always make sure you are aware of your surroundings. It is very difficult to know if you are encroaching on a lion’s territory but there are usually lion prides close to safari holidays resorts and lions can sometimes have very large territories so it’s a safe bet to assume you are.
It is a lot safer to be among tree rather than out in the plains as lions do not like hunting were there is think undergrowth or obstacles that they risk injuring themselves on. This is solely why you should always make sure that you are close to good cover. Another advanatge is that you should try to stay close to the trees as lions are very poor climbers and probably would not bother following you.
If you spot lion in the wild do not approach under any circumstances. If the lion is not aware you are they you should move in the opposite direction briskly. Do not start to run as this may alert the lion and make sure you look back often to see if the lion is following you.
If the lion is aware of you presence you should still move in the opposite direction but walk slowly backwards keeping your eyes on the lion. It is well worth knowing that if lions are female so there is a very high chance that there will be others around as they hunt in groups. If the lion does start to follow you then you should slowly speed up but remember not to run.
