A holiday to Egypt or a holiday to Cuba? Sep 08

Although they are different they do have a similarity. Although these countries are very different, but they both hold something unique to each other in history terms. Cuba is the place of recent history, frozen in time. Egypt is the place for Ancient histories. So which of these places can offer the best holiday?

Cuba holidays have slowly come into the tourism light. Many people have avoided Cuba as a holiday but these days it has become extremely popular. Cuba has been stuck in a rut, stuck in the past and frozen in time, everything resembles something from 30 years ago. Although they have a powerful military control, the streets of Cuba are lined with very old and traditional houses; the roads are pebble stone or concrete. They still roll Cigars in the traditional way, making them the most expensive in the world. If you really want to, you could visit Cuba and roll a cigar yourself. Cuba offers some truly great diving locations, covered in coral and very clear blue seas.

Egypt holidays have always been popular with many people. The prices have started to come down as well. Egypt certainly isn’t short of history especially when it comes to the first civilization in the world. There are so many amazing wonders to see in this country that you will never have enough time to see them all. The must is the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx; these are some of the most amazing sights anyone will ever be able to see. These huge and wonderful structures have been around for millennia. Cairo is a great place to be for all the hustle and bustle of all the people and markets, many people visit this place just for the crazy trading atmosphere. Egypt is home to the oldest civilization known to man, and a library that contains some of the oldest scripts in the world. This is where scholars come to learn even more about the world.

So there you go now you have two very exciting places to consider for your next holiday, I would recommend either one of them, but for weddings abroad it has to be Cuba.

In Kenya there is the Porini Wilderness Safari. Well this place is not just a little safari resort, it is one big holiday bundle. There are actually three economically friendly bush camps that you will be staying in while on your safari quest. All of these camps have been built to have as little effect on the environment as possible. The guides are world renowned for being experienced and great tours; they are all accompanied with a 4X4 wheel Jeep.

This one is for those that want to see some of the most dangerous animals in the world. This is called the Maasai Mara Big Cat Safari, set in Kenya this is the place to come and see the Big Five. If you are fanatical about seeing a Lion, then this is a great location for you, this is where you are most likely to see one. They also take you around in open sided 4X4 jeeps, but they do through in an added bonus by taking you on a night Safari!  Kenya Safari holidays have become th most popular in the world.

Next is a truly majestic safari, the Zambia Classic Safari. What’s also great here is that this safari crosses through several parks two of which are the Zambezi and Livingstone Park. This safari is even better for tourists because there is so much to see. The first being the royal creature the elephant, some people have argued this is the most commonly known animal across the world after cats and dogs. This is one of the most amazing features on the entire planet, the Victoria Falls, known as one of the Seven Wonders, this simply looks like a waterfall that disappears into the land. Diving holidays have been very popular here for the falls have a hidden secret called the Devil’s Armchair.

Blackpool Breaks and Things To See And Do Jul 02

Blackpool is a seaside resort built on the English North West coast, which remains intensely popular with tourists coming from the close by towns and cities which include Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester and more. Blackpool is also fanatically popular with visitors from all over Scotland who often turn up in large numbers in a similar fashion to the groups of factory workers of the past on their factory day out. Occasionally it would seem as though the resort is smothered in hotels and entertainments and although there is a great deal of Blackpool bed & breakfasts it is advisable to book in advance to be sure. Accommodation varies from cheaper lodgings to classy five star. You will find many on the sea front but, if you would prefer book somewhere less

raucous

there are some further inland.

Blackpool began to see its first visitors in the eighteenth century who came to indulge in  the new craze of sea bathing. When the railway arrived, in 1846, the town experienced an increase in the number of tourists to “take the cure” as it was called. These days tourists can travel to Blackpool by railway, automobile or plane arriving there much faster than the Victorian workers who could take up to 48 hrs from as nearby as Manchester.

The Blackpool Pleasure Beach

The most busy attraction in the seaside resort of Blackpool, in Lancashire, which entices approximately seven million customers a year, is Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The Pleasure Beach is an incredibly large funfair with fear inducing big rides, for example Grand National, Ice Blast, Valhalla, the Big One, Zipper Dipper and Wild Mouse, and including many, many more sideshows, food booths, children’s rides, thrill rides, sidestalls and games. The most recent big thrill is Infusion, the first ride in the world to feature a suspended looping type of coaster entirely over water.

Please remember: If you are planning to visit the Pleasure Beach as a group or family it is possible to make considerable savings by purchasing a wristband for unlimited rides especially if you will be staying until you have been on nearly every ride as individual prices soon amounts to a great deal.

How To Get There And B&B Accommodation

As mentioned earlier in this article, Blackpool is very easy to get to nowadays as it is possible to travel to the town by automobile, railway or air. If you are arriving by train you will, most likely, be arriving at the main train station in Blackpool, Blackpool North found on Talbot Road. Just a short distance further down Talbot Road is where you will find Blackpool National Express Coach Station, Blackpool’s main bus station. The other rail station, Blackpool South, is at Waterloo Road, which is much closer to the Pleasure Beach. Blackpool’s airport is located approximately 2 miles south of the town centre and was previously known as, Blackpool Squires Gate Airport, one of the oldest British airports.

Blackpool bed & breakfast accommodation is priced fairly low. Accommodation is less expensive in the off season and more expensive on weekends. Hotels in Blackpool are at their most costly during the Blackpool Illuminations, which is really peak season in Blackpool.

A handy tip: Some hotels can be extremely busy and rather noisy especially those found between Central Pier and North Pier. If you rather stay in a quieter location try booking accommodation beyond the North Pier.

The Countryside Jun 25

I have a small house on the outskirts of the city, which I use as when I just want to get away from it all. It’s nothing fancy, it just has a couple of rooms and a bathroom, but I like it very much. I get to leave the noise of the city behind me, and get some relaxation. The garden is also large enough for my kids to play in, and my wife loves it as well.

The problem is that the nearest shop is a little far, and driving back and forth to the store isn’t exactly fun. I wanted to buy a bike, at first, to handle my traveling needs, but I’m a little out of shape and I didn’t think I could handle the ride, if coming back with a lot of stuff. My wife suggested a scooter, one that we could then give to our son, when he grows a little older.

I started looking on the internet for something to suit my needs, but also kept my son in mind. I didn’t want something that would drive too fast, and preferably, not use any gasoline. Everything I looked at was more that I was willing to pay for. Just when I was about to give up, something drew my attention.

The  razor pocket mod  seemed to be the perfect thing. I wasn’t convinced that something so cheap could be any good, but why not try it, anyway? I ordered it on the Internet, and it arrived in no time, and in one piece, so all I had to do was let it charge over night. Next morning I went shopping on my new Razor electric scooter.

I have to say it was a nice ride, so I had no more worries. When my kid saw it, he started begging me to let him try it, so I gave it to him for a ride around the garden. Now he’s using it more than I do, and I’ve started to think that I’ll have to order another one if I want to go shopping without having to argue with him first.

Why Holidaying Abroad is Cheaper Jun 02

We all know that the credit crunch is in full swing and with that comes unemployment and bank accounts going into minus. People are not spending as much as they used to simply because they do not have it. So a lot of people have abandoned their holidays overseas because they believe that staying in the UK will be a lot cheaper. But is this really the case?

Although the pound is simply not as powerful as it once used you be going to overseas destinations can still be a very viable option and in some ways it can work out a lot cheaper then staying in the UK for your vacation. The reason behind this is as follows:

People abroad have for a long time been increasing their prices year after year because they knew that the tourists had to pay for it. In some ways hotels abroad got a bit greedy and thought they could get away with charging a fortune and in all honesty they literally could. But now that the financial crisis has taken affect people still think that the costs abroad will be the same, but this is not the case because popular tourist destinations have begun to panic and lower their prices to a reasonable level.

So going abroad could actually now work out a lot cheaper then it was for you a few years ago, the only thing that may have gone up in price would be the flight charges, but the accommodation and food are going to be at all time low levels. I recommend getting an all inclusive package so once you get there you do not have to worry about paying out any more money.

Sales Of Holidays On The Increase May 19

The weak economy has hit the holiday industry hard. One of the first businesses that fell victim was the high-profile case of XL tour operators. There have been many companies since that have revealed how they are struggling or not able to cope at all. TUI however, Britain’s biggest tour operator has revealed the first good news in a long time this month by announcing that its holiday sales are up on the previous month’s figures.Peter Long, chief executive of TUI put this down a regaining of people’s trust in the economy slightly and feeling better about spending their disposable income after the hyped mass hysteria about the credit crunch settled down. “Customers who delayed purchasing holidays in the early booking season have started to return to the market” the company said.

The considerably low interest rates are also a contributing factor. Food bills are not as big as they used to be, mortgage repayments have been cut and utility and living costs are lower than they have been for a while. What this cumulative affect means is that people have a little more money to spend on looking after themselves. The hotter countries are proving to be the most popular locations, especially those with the Caribbean and Mediterranean regions where people can de-stress and take some time out for themselves. All inclusive holidays are very popular at the moment also.

Although bookings for TUI are down 7% on this time last year, they are much more healthy than the 18% drop they have been suffering the rest of the year.  They have sold 93% of their winter holidays because despite the worst performing market currently being the Nordic region, holidays to Canada have been doing very well

TUI has said that this pick up represents a general improving trend in holiday sales. By the end of this holiday season we predict that purchasing levels will rise up to their previous levels the market regains strength.

Why I Gave My Prize to Charities May 15

My story began a few years ago; I had never really been outside of a European destination and was craving to go somewhere a bit more luxurious. I am one of these people that just enter competitions for the sake of it. I adore the excitement when they get back to me but most times this does not end going anywhere.

Well I finally got a bit of luck after years of playing and got put into the final draw to win tickets on jamaica holidays. As the weeks went by the draw date got closer and closer I started to feel a bit nervous as the three finalists had to give a speech on why they deserved to win. I rattled my mind trying to think of something nice to say, I really didn’t deserve to win, I have never done anything that deserves being given a holiday for free.

The moment finally arrived and there were various judges in a very small room, the two candidates before me gave awesome speeches, but you could tell they were lying. So my turn quickly came around, they promtly asked me the question “So why do you deserve to win the trip”, I instantly replied “I do not”, they all looked at me in shock. I than continued to give my speech and indicated there were a lot more people that deserved this more than me. So if I did get lucky enough to win I would give it all to charity.

The judges went away for a quick break and we went for a coffee, to my suprise on there return they stated I was the winner and because I was so kind they were going to give me four tickets instead of only two. Two tickets for the charity of my choice and two tickets for myself for being so honest.

My UK Holiday was Great May 05

I am not really one that usually goes on family holidays, simply because of the fact that I have always thought that I am in the UK non stop for 12 months so I at least deserve a break overseas.

My last few holidays overseas have been pretty abysmal to be honest; the thing about going abroad is that you always seem to end up picking a hotel which is just completely terrible. The negative aspect about going abroad, is that they do not really listen to the 5 star rule. I have been to a hotel that was classed as a five star and instead ended up being worse than a 2 star hotel.

So this year I chose to stay in Britain as I was let down abroad and also the credit crunch did not really help out too much. Torquay, Devon and Cornwall was a destination that most UK holiday makers go to, so I chose to take a trip down there. My first impression on viewing the hotel my breath taking, it looked outstanding.

I made my way up to the room and it looked much more professional than any of the other hotels I have stayed in abroad. The rest of the break went by just as smoothly I found my way to the beach where the water was the best I have ever seen in the UK. The events that they have in UK hotels are endless, they have activities through the whole day for all ages.

I have already booked another UK holiday in a few months and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a break, whether it’s for bowls holidays, dancing holidays or relaxation then UK travel is at its prime.
